September trifft sich die europ\u00e4ische Biomethanbranche bei der 4. Europ\u00e4ischen Biomethankonferenz (European Biomethane Conference \u2013 EBC) in der irischen Hauptstadt Dublin. Die EBC wird von der Deutschen Energie-Agentur (dena) in Kooperation mit dem \u201eRenewable Gas Forum Ireland\u201c veranstaltet und findet erstmals au\u00dferhalb Deutschlands statt. Die F\u00f6rderung von Biomethan in Irland ist auch eines der Schwerpunktthemen der Konferenz. Das Potenzial daf\u00fcr ist gro\u00df im Land: Laut Sch\u00e4tzungen kann das gr\u00fcne Gas bis zu ein F\u00fcnftel (22 Prozent) des irischen Gasbedarfs decken und somit dazu beitragen, die Klimaziele des Landes zu erreichen. Weitere Themen der EBC sind die abgestimmte Neuauflage der EU-Richtlinie f\u00fcr Erneuerbare Energien (RED II) sowie Herausforderungen und Fortschritte bei Biomethanm\u00e4rkten in anderen europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mehr als 20 Referenten werden erwartet, unter anderem: Michela Morese, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrerin des Nachhaltigkeitsnetzwerks \u201eGlobal Bioenergy Partnership\u201c, Jim Gannon, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Beh\u00f6rde \u201eSustainable Energy Authority of Ireland\u201c, Malcolm Mc Dowell, Bereichsleiter bei der Generaldirektion f\u00fcr Energie der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission sowie Ian O`Flinn, kaufm\u00e4nnischer Leiter beim Gasnetzbetreiber \u201eGas Networks Ireland\u201c.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Die EBC bietet ein einmaliges Format zum Austausch \u00fcber Erfahrungen, innovative Technologien, neue Gesch\u00e4ftsmodelle und grenz\u00fcberschreitenden Handel in Europa. Neben Vortr\u00e4gen und Podiumsdiskussionen ist eine Netzwerk-Session mit Thementischen sowie ein abendlicher Empfang geplant. In den letzten drei Jahren nahmen \u00fcber 400 Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Wissenschaft, Politik, Industrieverb\u00e4nden und Unternehmen aus \u00fcber 15 L\u00e4ndern teil.
