By means of electrolysis, the solar energy is converted into hydrogen and finally fed into the natural gas pipeline network. This means that renewable energy is available for a wide range of segments (heat, transport, electricity production in gas and steam power plants, etc.) via the nationwide network.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-999c9d9 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"999c9d9\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-30775d54\" data-id=\"30775d54\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-141e1b08 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"141e1b08\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Via a specially installed photovoltaic system with an output of 10.3 kWp and a panel area of approx. 67.2 m\u00b2, direct current is produced from sunlight and is subsequently used for electrolysis. The water consumption during the electrolysis is about 1 liter per hour. The water is supplied by a water tank in the research facility, the water being treated by a mixed bed desalination.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2b6b19a1 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"2b6b19a1\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-4028b62c\" data-id=\"4028b62c\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e5d321a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4e5d321a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The hydrogen generated by the electrolysis (about 1.2 Nm\u00b3 per hour) reaches the natural gas pressure control system via a hydrogen line and is fed into the natural gas flow to supply the municipality of Haid \/ Ansfelden. A mixer at the feed point ensures that hydrogen and natural gas mix evenly. Safe operation of the hydrogen feed is ensured by a pressure control device and a safety relief valve. The entire system is controlled and monitored via a remote control system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-62e960ae elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"62e960ae\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-4729a06b\" data-id=\"4729a06b\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-50e6bcc9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"50e6bcc9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The solar power generated by the photovoltaic system is used for the operation of the adjacent natural gas reduction station as well as the entire O\u00d6. Ferngas Service-Center Haid uses and supplies the electrolyzer for hydrogen generation with the necessary current.
