The success of winter tourism in Austria, which is characterized by ski tourism, requires sustainability and a careful, efficient handling of nature and natural resources.
The resources water and energy are, besides land, the most valuable assets for the management of this tourist area. They are therefore the focus of the attention of the tourism industry, especially since they have an enormous importance for the sustainable success of winter tourism.
Through an optimal cooperation in the fields of nature, mankind (management) and technology, innovations can be triggered in the medium term, which can become effective in winter sports tourism and support further development.
For example, energy savings of up to 80% compared to propeller snowmakers can be achieved by the use of energy-efficient propeller power units for the production of snow.
