Together with Mr. DI Christian Holzer, Mr. Dr. Jürgen Schneider, Mr. Michael Hübner and Mr. Georg Günsberg, the managing directors developed more than 10 concrete activities to strengthen Austrian green technologies: promote prototype development of environmental technologies + provide financing, promote & implement internationally visible lighthouse projects, strengthen the field of digitalization & circular economy, research programs & promotion of sustainable storage technologies, energy-active infrastructure, buildings & settlements, solar harvesting on built-up areas, concrete roadmap for climate neutrality (sub-targets, impact assessment; investment incentives), etc. These were presented to Ms. Leonore Gewessler, Minister of Climate Protection.
“By 2040, Austria will be climate neutral. This also offers the opportunity to expand the economic strength field of green tech and to benefit disproportionately from international market growth with more jobs in Austria and innovative export hits. By exporting Austrian environmental technologies, additional annual emission savings of up to 60 million tons of CO2 equivalents can be achieved abroad. I therefore support research institutions and organizations with the Export Initiative Environmental Technologies and the Technology Internationalization of the Ministry of Climate Protection in successfully marketing Austrian products and system services worldwide. I am very pleased that these companies are working towards a climate-friendly future and are prepared to walk the path towards CO2 neutrality together,” concluded Gewessler.
